Video to Video AI

I am looking for an AI that will copy the movements from another video. I know Live Portrait can perform facial movements and expressions but I came across at least one that will make a still picture of someone follows the exact movement from a source video.

For creating realistic motion transfer from a video to a still image, several AI tools specialize in body movement and motion transfer, beyond facial expression mapping:

  1. DeepMotion - This platform uses AI to animate characters by capturing full-body movements from videos and applying them to 2D or 3D models, which can be used on static images as well.

  2. PIFuHD with Deep Learning - This AI model generates a 3D version of a person from a single image, then maps movements from another video to that 3D character, which is useful if you want detailed 3D motion.

  3. First Order Motion Model - Often used for motion transfer on faces, this tool can also handle upper body movement from source videos. It’s known for creating realistic motion on still images by following the source movements almost exactly.

  4. Reface Pro and Avatarify - These tools are well-suited for combining facial expressions and body movement in real-time, useful for creating full-head motion transfer based on a source video.

If you're aiming for a full-body motion transfer (not limited to facial expressions), DeepMotion and First Order Motion Model are both highly effective for transferring the entire motion sequence.

Which of those has a free plan?

Among the mentioned tools, here’s how their free plans or trials typically work:

  1. DeepMotion - Offers a limited free trial with watermarked exports and restricted usage. It's good for testing basic features, but continued or commercial use requires a subscription.

  2. First Order Motion Model - This is an open-source project, so it’s entirely free if you’re comfortable running it locally or on a cloud service with GPU support. You can find the code and set it up on platforms like Google Colab to avoid costs.

  3. Reface - Has a free version available, though it primarily focuses on face swapping. The free plan is limited in terms of export quality and may have watermarks, but it's sufficient for casual use or testing.

  4. Avatarify - It’s also open-source and free to use, though, like the First Order Motion Model, it requires setup on a local machine or cloud platform. It can map facial expressions in real-time and offers good flexibility without a paid plan.

For full motion transfer beyond just facial expressions, the First Order Motion Model is a solid choice due to its open-source availability. If you’re focused on face-only swaps, Reface could be simpler to start with due to its user-friendly mobile app.
